Christmas Decorations

So we decorated for Christmas last night. It was fun. We do not have a lot of decorations because China does not celebrate Christmas. We were able to find a few, so here they are.

These two are of our living room window. We are not the only Americans in the building, but we are the only ones so far to put up lights.

This one is the lights from the inside along with our Christmas tree.

This is our Christmas tree. I found it at a store here. They did not have a big selection, but it fits the size of our apartment. The pictures are not that good because my camera phone is not good. Gary's regular camera needed to be plugged up so I could not use it.  You can see it a bit.
This one is with the lights on the tree on and the lights in the living room off. It is really cute!

Our two stockings. Gary's is the one on the left. Green, of course, because it is his favorite color and it has Santa on it because he loves Santa. Mine is the red one because of course my favorite color. Mine has a snowman and a reindeer on it.

This is silver and red garland. It has bells, angels, and little jingle bells on it. I also put a small Merry Christmas on the TV. You can kind of see it.

Santa Claus. This was here in our apartment when we got here. The one below is a bell we put on our apartment door.

Well that is all for our Christmas decorations. We are watching "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" right now. The lights are off, so we can see the lights even better. We had one student over last night to help him study for a speech contest and one over tonight to help us get flights to Guangzhou. They both asked why we had the decorations up and we had to tell them that Americans decorate for Christmas the whole month of December. Even though Christmas is only one day, we celebrate the whole month. They were kind of surprised. It seemed strange to them.

Oh well, we love it! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of our friends.
