On our way back from our wonderful trip to see family and friends in the U.S., we stopped and stayed with some friends in Shanghai. Apple and Manwu were former members in our Qingdao Branch. Manwu got a job in Shanghai and they moved last November. We have missed seeing them, so it was a great opportunity to spend some time with them. They were gracious enough to let us stay in their home. The next pictures are of their home. It is a small, wonderful, two-bedroom apartment!

The first day we spent relaxing and then spent the next day at the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. We able to go up to the top of this tower and look down. They had a glass floor that you walk on to look at the ground below. I was not scared at all even though I am not fond of heights. I am getting better at not being afraid of heights. It was a wonderful view.

On one day we took a tour to Westlake near Hangzhou. It is a big, beautiful lake in the middle of the city.
These next few pictures are of wood carvings. So amazing and detailed.
I have found that I am fascinated by the pathways in China especially those in parks. They do so many things with design. Usually in one park, all the pathways are different. What do you think? Fascinating, huh?
After we left Westlake, we went to another park. I can't remember the name, but it had so many Buddha's carved into the mountains.
Another day we took a tour to a small water town name Tongli. There are many water towns in this area of China, near Shanghai. This city is located near Suzhou.
And finally, you can catch a glimpse of the Emperor and his Empress. Aren't they wonderful and powerful?
