So Gary has started tutoring with a different company now and this week he was teaching some English classes during the morning and afternoon. On Wednesday, birthday plus 5, he was tutoring from 1:30 until 4:30, so I decided to take a walk along the beach. I decided to go a different way again and go toward the east. I had walked part of this beach walk a couple of times before, but had not gone all the way to the Old Stone Man. After our tutoring in the morning, Gary and the kids we tutor left and I got my backpack ready to walk the beach.
It was a beautiful day. Not too sunny or cloudy or windy. Just right for a walk.
If you look in the distance on the right, you can see some apartments. Those apartments are where our church is held. We have out meetings in an apartment there. We can see the ocean from the windows. It is a very wonderful place to have our spiritual meetings.
I love the beach. I have found that I love to spend time there just looking at the rocks, tidepools, waves and listening to the sound of the waves coming in. It is peaceful and calming to me. I decided that I need to walk by the beach at least once a week from now on. It was too smoggy to see the Old Stone Man though. I am going to go back when the weather is clearer. You can kind of see it in the picture below. It is the small gray thing in the middle of the picture that sticks up.
This area, where these boats are, is about 9 kilometers from our home, so about 5 miles. I walked here and then walked back a little an up the street to the bus stop. I took a bus home, so that I could arrive home at the same time Gary arrived home.
I found it was a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday plus 5. Here are some videos of the beach. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did being there. Only one more days to celebrate my birthday. What will happen next?
